Living a Spiritual Life

Living a Spiritual Life What does this mean? What does this look like? Everyone is actually living a spiritual life whether they know it or not. Just the fact one is incarnated means you are a soul who came here to learn and evolve, some consciously, some not. So for those of you who consider yourself “awakened”, it means you are conscious, but not necessarily “better” than anyone else, just that you are very conscious and maybe even have some of the coveted new age “gifts”. This does not insure you are living at your full potential or that you don’t have a secret life such as but not limited to using substances including food to get high, lacking integrity, hiding your true emotions to appear more “successful”.   Some of the most incredible people I have met were maids or handymen and some of the most devious and fake people I have met are new age icons or want to be an icon.   Just like being a priest or a daycare owner/worker is no guarantee that you are not a pedop...

The Middle Path

A small note first. People think my articles are specifically about them and that in some (passive aggressive) manner I am sending them a message through a public forum rather than being straight forward and having a direct conversation.  For example in “Teaching people how to treat you: Part 2” all those comments were made either to me or were shared with me from other teachers/healers. As a small example, there are some people that consistently call or email me for free advice, never seeking an appointment and refusing to offer payment (after of course first telling me how important I am to them etc. ). After giving these people increasingly strong and direct me...

Teaching People How to Treat You: Part 2

Teaching People How to Treat You Part 2 Balance: Between friendly familiarity and "familiarity breeds contempt". Between talking things out and "letting it flow". "Teaching" and letting the other person learn through experience. When it comes to human relations, to boundaries, there is no rule, no one way. Each person, each situation is unique.  What is necessary for balance, is commitment. Commitment to think it out, to be aware, to not get offended or discouraged, to be flexible, to listen, ask questions, feel your feelings, allow others to feel their feelings but not at your expense, deciding to work it out, deciding to learn, deciding to leave. Balance, is a lifestyle choice.    In Spirituality, in the USA, the balance between a Student and Teacher is unique. If your guru is from another country the culture often makes it easy. Behavior is dictated by the cultural expectations of how to act and show respect. And if you don't see your guru ...
