After the "Great Awakening"....... now what.....

We Americans love "the big moment" and in fact we typically search for more and more.....we are "big moment" junkies.  Especially in the New Age Industry-- and it is now definitely an industry.  We meet our Archangel, we discover our  "purpose" (which of course has to be bigger than being a rosebush or a hummingbird, lol).  We need to be big, important, special-- especially in the eyes of others. We long to hold workshops, we deposit accolades in our emotionally bankrupt bank accounts, we collect of proof of our spirituality (or even of our existence) to post (humbly) on Facebook and graciously in the most self effacing efforts we can muster, thank our followers.  Whew. We are busy........ constructing an existence, a meaning, and of course being busy means we really don't have to be too present, or feel our feelings.

In my reality, once you truly get on a Path, you are busy.... with a Practice!  And "big moments" filter through each day as consistent as gravity, and air.  A flower opens, your cat's paw is laid on your cheek, a rush of energy sweeps through you. Have you ever wondered what fills the day of an Aesthetic living in a cave in the Himalayas? Or of  Practioners living in silent retreat?  Each day is full and complex when your live your Practice.

Having grown up in the world of therapists and later New Age-er's, I observed the majority do not live the life they teach..... AND the majority teach to others what they are desperately lacking in their own lives rather than confronting issues in their own reality.  These observations may be an anomaly that simply showed up in my life..... but they may also be truths.  I personally do not want to follow that path-- living beside myself....... or living in spite of my self....... rather than taking the path of having an authentic life full of ..... moments..... big, intimate, daily, miniscule, miraculous moments.

After the first "awakening." there will be many many more throughout your life....if you have a diligent practice. Over time, one learns to recognize the signs that yet another awakening is about to emerge and change your life, alter your gravity field, accelerate you into another galaxy where it will take you a while to figure out (again) how to move around, how to function.  It will, once again, be miraculous and I often can be found on my knees in front of my altar giving thanks that I have been shown yet another universe to inhabit that I did not even know existed (and therefore I did not imagine it, intention it, or manifest it).

So after the workshop, the Reading, the crystals, the vortex or matrix, the astral travel, soul retrieval, past life exploration, extra-terrestrial visitation, comes...... your life.  Fill it with a daily practice. Find a community to practice with, or create one. Stay healthy and centered --- after all you did sign up to have a body and a life on Earth. Discover fun to feed the Soul, and most of all, stay on the Path.  You will find that it is not the "Great Awakenings" that fill up life as much as the quality of all the miracles that occur in your life daily. We often miss these miracles in our search for the next "Big Moment."  The miracles live in "chop wood, carry water."  Do those with soulful mindfulness and see your life bloom.
