HOW TO GIVE READINGS AND HELP PEOPLE: A WORKSHOP.

Mini workshop April 15, Thursday Evening  6:30- 8:30. Cost is $72.
Full workshop April 18, Sunday, 12:30- 4:30. (bring snacks if needed). Cost is $135

This workshop is for those who have spent some time studying with Dr. Marie. Do not hesitate to ask if you can attend.  

It is challenging to help people. People are often afraid, defensive, controlling, or perhaps have never done and work on themselves and truly have no idea about their authentic Self. And while they want help, they are also resistant because they are scared. Then there is the pressure of the new age billion dollar industry that sells feel good, or feel special "stories" to people rather than addressing Soul Evolution or personal growth and now people come expecting to get lots of "strokes" from a Reading and to hear a really inspiring story about their "gifts" and their "purpose." 

Working with Source as your Guide, you will practice having the courage to say and do  "hard things" (as Glennon Doyle and Pema Chodron like to say) by being honest instead of dramatic or simply validating someone. (In some cases simple validation IS needed, but not always). Readings are a combination of words and Divine Energies and we will practice using both as well as any other tools you have practiced and used when working with people.

The Wounded Vulnerable Narcissist Many people are very self-critical and most, while acknowledging   they might indeed feel this way “sometimes”,   seem to be reluctant to do any work on these feelings or behaviors, other than “being positive” about themselves. And usually this means that “being positive” is the generic feel good kind of “thing” rather than being specific and realistic. Generic feel good statements (given either through self –talk or as complements from friends and new age teachers) are really not useful other than a quick hit of feel good emotions and perhaps as a distraction from some current uncomfortable emotions or challenges.
